Here is our latest error message coming from Oracle:

 

Oracle error occurred, but error message could not be retrieved from Oracle.

 

Not a very wise Oracle methinks.

I'm afraid error messages have been a notorious area in products for decades, so this is nothing new. Most of them are useless and not at the proper (user) level.

 

However, with the advent of the new crap in products brought by OO, XML and the rest, it's becoming practically impossible to figure out what a problem is, as any formal remnants are thrown out the window.
