USE OF MATERIALS POLICY

In support of the site’s efforts to continue operation, and
in fairness to all readers, we suggest and expect adherence to the following use
policy:
Content of Licensed Materials
The purchased materials that are the subject of this policy
shall consist of electronic information published or otherwise made available
for purchase by Publisher.
Purchasers and their authorized users acknowledge that the
copyright and title to the materials and any trademarks or service marks
relating thereto remain with the Publisher and/or its authorized
representatives.
Neither purchaser, nor its authorized users shall have right,
title or interest in the materials except as expressly set forth in this
Agreement.
Publisher hereby grants to purchaser non-exclusive,
non-transferable, revocable rights to use the materials and to provide them to
authorized users in ways consistent with this policy.
Authorized Use of Materials
Authorized Users: Individuals who purchase materials
for their own exclusive use (individual purchasers); full and part time
employees of private, non-profit, or public institutional purchasers,
regardless of the physical location of such persons;fFaculty, students and
affiliated researchers of academic institutional purchasers
Authorized Uses: Buyers and authorized users may make
all use of the materials as is consistent with the Fair Use Provisions of
United States and international law. The materials may be used for purposes of
research, education or other non-commercial use as follows:

Individual buyers have exclusive access to the
materials
· Institutional buyers may provide access to the digital copy of the materials to its authorized users, per their multicopy purchase fee, pursuant to the terms posted on the site at the time of purchase.

Academic buyers may use, with appropriate credit, the
materials in the preparation of course packs or other non-commercial, educational materials.
·
Purchasers may use the materials in connection with the
preparation of, or access to integrated indices to the materials, including
author, article, abstract and keyword indices.
·
Buyers and authorized users have the right to use, with
appropriate credit, figures, tables and brief excerpts from the purchased
materials in the user's own scientific, scholarly and educational works.
Specific Restrictions on Use of Materials
Unauthorized Use: Except as specifically provided
elsewhere in this policy, buyer/authorized user shall not knowingly permit
anyone other than authorized users to use the materials.
Modification of Materials: Buyer/authorized user shall
not modify or create a derivative work of the materials without the prior written permission of Publisher.
Removal of Copyright Notice: Buyer/authorized user may
not remove, obscure or modify any copyright or other notices included in the
materials.
Commercial Purposes: Other than as specifically
permitted in this policy, buyer/authorized user may not use the materials for
commercial purposes, including but not limited to the sale of the materials, or
reproduction or distribution of the materials in any form.
Publisher Performance Obligations
Modifications of Licensed Materials: Buyer understands
that from time to time the Materials may be added to, modified, or deleted by
Publisher, and/or that portions of the Materials may migrate to other formats.
Publisher reserves the right to charge fees for any updated, revised, or other
versions.
Buyer Performance Obligations
Assent: Buyer should require its authorized users to
agree to this use policy, before permitting them to gain access to the
materials. Buyer shall make reasonable efforts to provide authorized users with
appropriate notice of the terms and conditions under which access to the
materials is granted under this policy including, in particular, any
limitations on access or use of the materials as set forth in this policy.
Protection from Unauthorized Use: In the event of any
unauthorized use of the materials by an authorized user, buyer should terminate
that user's access to the materials.
Maintaining Confidentiality of Access Passwords: Buyer
shall maintain the confidentiality of passwords provided by Publisher, if any;
shall control the issue of passwords to authorized users; and use reasonable
efforts to ensure that authorized users do not divulge their passwords to any
third party.
